Mat Maslan Ot*k Tang Lutut - Pungutan zakat Wilayah merudum. Hang pi check lah. Melayu miskin dulu.

The info I have received is that the zakat collection in WP alone has fallen by 50% or more.

The monthly program for "bantuan keluarga miskin" (about RM700 per month per qualifying "poor" family) is now at risk .

Also the bantuan RM200 sebulan untuk orang uzur (those who suffer long term sickness, the OKU etc) is also at risk.

There is not enough zakat collection to keep up with all these programs.

The zakat collection administration also suffers expenses to upkeep its offices, salaries and vehicles of course.

All these programs are at risk because the zakat collection is going through the floor.

Zakat collections come from two sources - individuals Muslims who pay zakat and Muslim run or Muslim owned corporations that pay zakat.

Both are suffering big hits.

Many Malays are getting unemployed.

Proton has laid off workers.  Majority Malays.

MAS has laid off workers. Majority Malays.

CIMB has laid off workers.  Majority Malays.

Many, many oil and gas companies have shut down, slowed down or have laid off workers.  Again majority Malays.

The Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam is NOT hiring new staff.  Majority terbesar also Malays.

So if the Malays are becoming unemployed how are they going to pay zakat?

If Malay run or Malay owned corporations or GLCs are facing problems how are they going to pay zakat?

Takkan nak suruh orang China bayar zakat?  Depa kapiak.

Kan saya dah habak dari awal lagi - first the Minimum Wage will create serious unemployment.

Saya bagi contoh - dulu kedai saya ada tujuh orang pekerja. Sekarang tiga sahaja.

I cannot afford to pay entry level workers Minimum Wages of RM900 each. Campur EPF and Socso the wage bill is over RM1100 per worker. Entry level, low skilled workers do not generate that kind of sales to sustain such high wages.

For such higher wages we hire fewer but older, more experienced staff who can make more sales.  These staff get paid more than minimum wage.

The entry level workers semua we had to let go. Our business cashflow simply cannot sustain paying so much Minimum Wages to entry level staff.  So kena buang pekerja.

Then the GST is really killing all business. Here is a news report. Mat Maslan Ot*ak Tang Lutut reti ke baca omputih?  This news report captures the facts on the ground.

With Hari Raya around the corner, slow economy bears down on big ticket buys - See more at: http://m.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/with-hari-raya-around-the-corner-slow-economy-bears-down-on-big-ticket-buys?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=facebook#sthash.gWcB15G2.dpuf

KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 ― The dour economy has taken the fun out of the coming Hari Raya celebrations, as Malaysians decide against the norm of changing their cars and furniture amid strict loan policies, a weak ringgit and a new consumption tax.

High-value businesses like cars, furniture and electronic goods usually thrive during the Aidilfitri festivities, as the majority Malays typically reserve Hari Raya ― the country's biggest religious and cultural yearly celebration ― to splash cash but this year, auto dealers and traders say they have posted a steep drop in sales, likely due to crumbling consumer confidence.

“The showrooms are now empty. Usually during Ramadan, it's filled up. Not this year,” Mursyidul Azam Mahruz, a sales advisor with KIA Motors, told Malay Mail Online.

"...this year is really bad. It’s worse than last year. There is about a 50 per cent drop,” the 36 year-old, with more than a decade experience in car sales, added.

Inflation caused by the (GST),  has become the chief agent behind spending nervousness.

"..prices of other goods have also gone up so people are just afraid to spend,” Perodua salesman Mohd Fadzil Mohd Talib said.

Perodua sales at his showroom in Putrajaya has dropped by 30 to 45 per cent compared to the same time last year, Fadzil revealed.

Shahrul Nizam Daud, a sales advisor for Proton said his showroom have posted close to 50 per cent drop in sales and said that the strict loan policies imposed by Bank Negara, coupled with the GST, have also affected sales badly.
“Axia car is the cheapest automatic car out there. But people cannot buy it because they now have to pay RM3,300 downpayment. Those who usually buy these cars earn RM4,000 below. So for them, RM3,300 is a lot of money,” Shahrul said.

compulsory 10 per cent down payment requirement for cars follows Bank Negara's attempt to rein in the country's staggering household debt by imposing stricter loan policies for cars and houses purchases.

Latest data showed Malaysia's household debt stood close to RM150 billion, or 146 per cent to GDP.

Similar anecdotes were told at furniture and electrical appliances stores in the Klang Valley ― absence of the Hari Raya celebratory mood as customers fear spending amid a gloomy economic outlook.

“It's quite bad. Raya is usually when Malays like to replace their old furniture with new ones as they have people visiting, but not this year. I recall one of them telling me that times are hard, and it is better for them to save than risk spending,” said a senior salesman of Plaza Perabot

Ikea .. admitted that it had to adapt to the situation by absorbing the GST and keeping the price low despite the weakening ringgit.

“..we are also providing customers with the same low-price offerings, including the Even Lower Price range, where products become more affordable the more we sell them,” Ikea

smaller furniture stores like Plaza Perabot are not as capital intensive, which makes it hard to absorb GST or inflation of raw materials caused by the weak ringgit and keep prices low.

“We cannot sell it low like Ikea. We have to increase the price or at least maintain a small profit margin. So customers, already going to Ikea for cheap stuff, now abandon companies like us completely,” said one of the company's sales officer.

Like Ikea, Sen Heng and Harvey Norman are also working hard to push sales by slashing prices and absorbing the higher costs triggered by the weak currency.

strategy has worked but sales have not been booming like previous years.

“..television and hi-fi sets are usually favourites for customers celebrating Hari Raya. We still have customers buying but sales is not as good as past Hari Raya lah,” Peter Chin, a store manager of one of Sen Heng's branches in Ampang

So Mat Maslan, kalau Proton, Perodua, Kia, Hyundai, Toyota semua menghadapi penjualan yang merudum 30%, 50% dsbnya, macam mana dia nak bayar gaji salesman, bayar gaji budak kerani admin, bayar gaji sales manager, bayar gaji makcik tukang sapu etc? Tak boleh lah. Akhir sekali semua kena berhenti kerja.

Bila dia orang kena berhenti kerja, tak ada gaji, macam mana nak bayar zakat.

Pusat zakat pun tak cukup kutipan duit zakat lah.

Mat Maslan Ot*k Tang Lutut, kau jangan ambil ringan ayat Quran brader.  Kau cuba pikir, CGPA 3.85 pun tak guna bagi kau. Masih bodoh dan bangang. Kau dah kena laknat brader. Sorry.
