Hj. Ahmad: THE GREAT ESCAPE: DAY 3 & 4 - CHRISTCHURCH NEW ZEALAND TO DUNEDINE

Alhamdulillah, kami semua selamat tiba di Christchurch International. Keluar ja dari belly kapal terbang, Kak Mah and Ita bergegas ke Ladies. I was the one waited outside (duduk atas lantai dan bersandar di dinding...long enough sampai Airport Security Officer which happened to pass by asked me " You okay buddy?"..."Yeah I'm all good. Thanks".

Almost 15 minutes menunggu baru la both of em' keluar dengan senyuman Maui. Hakka Hakka!!.

Kami segera bergegas untuk ke baggage reclaim area untuk mendapatkan beg masing-masing sebelum melepasi Immigration & Kastam Christchurch Internation Airport. Tempoh menunggu di baggage carousel mengambil masa selama hampir 45 minit memandangkan terdapat lebih dari satu penerbangan yang tiba pada ketika itu.

Usai proses pengambilan bag, kami menuju ke public telephone berdekatan untuk urusan pemakluman kepada syarikat car rental yang kami sudah tiba dan memerlukan perkidmatan seperti yang telah ditempah dari Malaysia sebelum ini.

As promised by the Snap Rentals' operator (Car Rental Company), we met Cat (Snap Rentals' personnel) outside the airport. We saw her arrived with a big black van and yellow text labelled Snap Rentals and greeted her once she got out of the vehicle.

Cat was very friendly and Miss Ita seems to be clicking with her quite well. We were then brought to Snap Rentals office for some paperworks. We were made to choose Red or Silver Toyota and we chose the latter. Ita also presented her Malaysia's driving license so as she could drive in NZ.

Sebaik sahaja dapat kunci, Ita merasmikan Silver Toyota menuju ke tempat penginapan kami iaitu di sekitar bandar Christchurch. Memandangkan Snap Rentals dah isi minyak kereta full tank, there is no need to stop at the gas station and do bear in mind that masa hantar balik kereta mesti full tank jugak else kena denda.

Kami tiba di rumah Joy (Centerbury) sekitar pukul 6 petang waktu NZ dan Joy greeted us happily and quickly showed us our beds and wherebouts in the house. Joy agak kurang fasih berbahasa Inggeris tetapi tidak pernah gagal mencuba. Kami difahamkan juga oleh suami Joy (pada waktu malam baru suami Joy pulang dari kerja contractor dan sempat berborak sampai pukul 12.30 pagi) bahawa Joy baru tiba di NZ setahun setengah yang lepas dan meminta kami mengajar bahasa Inggeris kepada Joy. We complied with a happy okay.

That night we decided to further stock up our food inventories for tomorrow's journey to Dunedine by heading towards the local hypermarket. Thanks to Joy's hubby for the directions.

It was very cold that night and we slept dead.

The next morning I was the first to get ready and then Kak Mah and yes..as always Miss Ita lah. Haha.

We started our journey at 7 with me being behind the wheels. We bid farewell to Joy and drove off. Miss Enthusuiasm photographer you..sat next to me due to her great passion on photography as she need to cover as many angle from inside the car as possible. Kak Mah? Elegantly sat on the seat behind. Ita was like a kid in a candy store....moving here and there inside the car for best snapshots of NZ. Well...who doesn't..NZ is OMG so beautiful. Love it to bits.

Tak mungkin Ita pakai camni di Malaysia. Tapi masa ni memang sejuk sampai sakit pipi & telinga. Bravo Ita just jangan buat kat Malaysia macam ni na....tak mau Ita..tak mau
